The Website
The site is a set of static pages. We set no cookies, run no analytics, show no ads and load nothing from other companies, so no fonts, scripts or images come from third parties.
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages can record standard technical logs, such as the IP address, the page requested and the time, to keep the service running and secure. We don’t add tracking on top of that, and we don’t build profiles.
The Google Footprint Scan
The scan runs entirely in your browser. The files you add (your password export, a light Google Takeout, an optional mailbox file) and the list you paste are read on your device and never uploaded. When the password export is read, the password and note columns are thrown away line by line, and only the website and username are kept.
The page’s security rules forbid it from sending any network request, so it works even when you disconnect from the internet. Your plan can be kept in this browser’s local storage, so you can come back to it later. Use Remove next to each source, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings, to delete it.
Your Plan
The plan you tick as you go is saved in this browser’s local storage too, with the list of steps you finished or set aside. It never leaves your device. Reset on the plan page, or clearing this site’s data, deletes it.
The buttons that open your mail app with a deletion request, and the calendar reminders you can download, are built on your device. Nothing is sent until you send the email yourself.
The Browser Extension
The extension that analyzes your account reads a few pages of your own Google account, only when you click Start, and hands the text to the scan page open in the same browser.
- It reads the apps you sign in to with Google and the apps with access to your account, with the link to each app’s page in your Google Account (myaccount.google.com/linkedapps), your Google Dashboard (myaccount.google.com/dashboard), the sender names and addresses from a Gmail search for sign-up, confirmation and receipt emails, and your Google Play subscriptions list (play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). You can untick any of these before you click Start.
- It never reads the subject or content of your emails, your passwords, your cookies or your sign-in tokens.
- It sends nothing anywhere. The extension has no server, makes no network request of its own, stores nothing and has no analytics.
- Its permissions are optional. Access to myaccount.google.com, mail.google.com and play.google.com is asked for when you click Start, only for the steps you left ticked, and you can remove it at any time in your browser’s extension settings. A small script on our scan pages lets the page and the extension talk to each other.

We collect nothing about you, so we have nothing to sell or share.
